Many vulnerable people are struggling to access basic food.
Hunger is a hidden crisis in our community. Every day, young children go to school hungry, low-income families and single parents struggle to access food, pensioners and refugees skip meals because they can't afford to eat.
The cost of living has significantly increased and is hurting the most vulnerable and disadvantaged. For families already living on the edge, these increases are devastating.
According to recent data, more than 300,000 children are going to bed hungry every night and 71% of people receiving government benefits are cutting back on meat, fresh fruit and vegetables. These are heartbreaking statistics and are due to the cost-of-living pressures, affecting a wide range of people, especially low-income households and vulnerable communities.
Project Us Foundation proudly provides Fresh Food Bags loaded with nourishing essentials such as fresh fruit, vegetables, poultry, pantry, sanitary items and nappies, to vulnerable members of our community that are struggling to access basic essentials.
OUR GOAL: To ensure no one in our community goes to bed hungry!
If a student is hungry, they can’t focus, they can’t engage and they can’t learn, if they are constantly hungry, they are more likely to face health and developmental issues.

The headlines we just can't ignore:
1 in 6 Australians have experienced food insecurity in the last year
1 in 5 children in Australia are at risk of hunger
Single-parent households are twice as likely to experience food insecurity
40% of low-income households often choose between paying bills and buying food
Children who are constantly hungry are more likely to face health and developmental issues.
The increase in the cost of living has crippled vulnerable people already living on the edge
So many are feeling this hunger and are silently struggling, with families not eating for days and are unable to pack food in their children's lunch box.
We know if a student is hungry, they can't focus, engage, and learn in class. Our aim is to support those students and provide them with fresh food so they can thrive in the classroom and become our future leaders, scientists, and innovators!
We need your help.
Help us serve vulnerable members in our community with access to fresh food and give them hope of a future where they don’t need to stress about how they will feed themselves and their families.
Join us as we support and uplift our community. Your donation is their beacon of hope.
